Head of BioinformaticsCambridge *Flexible working*This is a great opportunity to join a biotech company in Cambridgeshire who identify gut bacteria linked to phenotype in order to discover and develop live bacterial therapeutics and biomarkers from clinical datasets.The companys unique platform addressed fundamental barriers in microbiome genomics, mass gut bacterial isolation and identification of therapeutic bacteria.This role will be leading the Bioinformatics team, providing strategic discipline leadership across the company and leading the analysis of key microbiome datasets. You will have a strong focus on translating the potential of the microbiome to deliver benefitsto patients, whilst leading a well-established team of bioinformaticians, computer scientists and statisticians.Together with your team you will identify microbial signatures from large clinical datasets across a variety of human diseases to establish novel programs to deliver live bacterial therapeutics and biomarkers. Whilst leading this team you will also have theopportunity to be hands on working with data. The company is looking for someone who has a strong bioinformatics, genomics and microbiology background.
