GreenTech Infrastructure EngineerLocation: Cambridge, UKhybrid remote roleSalary package: £34,000 per year, 12% pension scheme, private healthcare and life insuranceCaw Caw! Caw Caw! Calling all IT engineers with experience in 2nd and 3rd line IT support who care about our natural world and the biodiversity of our planet and want to use their tech skills for good.Maybe youre looking for a change in scenery and want to work for an organisation fighting to preserve and protect birdlife and their habitat, one that works with local communities, as well as governments and banks to create impactful change around the world.Maybe youd like to do more than just logging and fixing support tickets, utilising MS Azure for delivering services here in Cambridge and in remote locations globally, taking a lead on projects which impact several offices based around the world in Africa,South, Central and North America, Asia, and Europe.Or maybe youre just a badass nature lover, birdwatcher, allotment planter, bee keeper or *any other form of green fingered individual*, who loves to dabble in some networking, equipment setup, server management, automation and resource distribution. Ifthats the case, its safe for you to land on this perch here because this organisation do exactly that and more. The team youll be working in is small, a 1st liner and a 2nd liner, and the existing 3rd line engineer has stepped up into a IT support team lead. Youll take over some of the more complex support tasks from them, but will also focus largely on specificproject work. Some example projects include; standardising their equipment roll-out, which involves sending laptops with specialised software and systems out to those regional offices mentioned above, or implementing new security processes and features or making systemsaccessible or scalable. The organisation are getting access to some pretty large grants for upgrading their services, technologies, equipment and more, so project work will be a primary focus of this role. The mix between their love of technology and data and their fierce passion for conservation is the wind beneath their wings, and theyd love to find someone whos passionate about this too.The MAIN requirement in terms of skills is previous experience working in Microsoft Azure services and tools. The other BIG one is sharing their passion to protect and enhance our environment. Everything else is teachable. If all this matches your trill, please apply, call, or email us to find out more and for a guaranteed, personal reply!
