Job Description

Job Title: Graduate Portfolio AssistantSalary: £24,000 - £30,000Location: CambridgeOur client is a growing Wealth Management outfit with a regional presence. Due to ongoing expansion, we are looking to help bolster the Investment support team by bringing in a new assistant to support the current Investment Managers of the firm.The role will focus primarily on assisting the head of Investment Management, with administration and operational support, maintenance, and ongoing reporting of a range of model and bespoke portfolios for the firms clients and Partners. Some of the dutieswould include; trade support, periodic rebalancing, working with the research analysts, cash flows, client reporting, portfolio monitoring.Ideally you would be someone keen to keep developing your technical knowledge and would have strong interpersonal skills also.The Required Skills

  • IMC or Level 4 CISI Certificate in Investment Management qualified
  • Previous experience working within another regional wealth management firm
  • Demonstrate practical awareness of the macro environment, balanced against a need to maintain a long-term portfolio outlook
  • Open minded with regards to active and passive strategies and assist in recognising the best of breed to complement each other in diverse portfolio construction
  • Knowledge of retail financial products and current regulatory expectations
  • Deliver effective and positive communication
  • Demonstrate excellent IT skills and competent use of research tools
  • Possess excellent organisational and time management skills with an ability to work under pressure and prioritise
  • Adaptable, driven, self-motivated, ready to embrace change and constantly strive for improvement, taking ownership and accountability for own actions
