Are you a dedicated, creative and motivated engineerWhy not join our GPU development team and help to bring up GPU top-level hardware and debug hardware / software interactionsThe role involves working on exciting next-generation GPU designs!The successfulcandidate will be an experienced hardware or system design engineer with a proven understanding of software and device drivers or an expert low-level software developer with a good understanding of hardware, with proven track record to deliver high qualityresults in challenging timescales.We are a cross-site team and take ownership of a range of tasks that are required for successful bring-up and debug of complex tests, games and benchmarks for cutting-edge GPUs. Our team works closely with the architecture,model, design, verification and device driver teams to ensure that the design is suitable for efficient debug, and to root-cause and coordinate debug of complex issues as the product is developed.What you will be accountable for:Reviewing new GPU technology,assessing it for debuggability and identifying any new debug challenges.Driving the requirements and specifications for new debug tools and methodologies.Root-cause debugging of complex functional issues and hardware/software interactions.Coordination betweenvarious hardware and software teams for in-depth unit- and module-level debug and fixing of issues found.Job Requirements:Essential Skills and Experience:Strong fundamental computer systems knowledge, general problem solving and debugging skills, and abilityto closely cooperate with hardware and software teams.Comfortable with hardware description languages and testbenches (preferably System Verilog), low-level software (preferably C) and scripting (preferably Python).Some experience in top-level hardware debugof CPU or accelerator IP or low-level software or firmware debug involving HW/SW integration issues.Motivated, hard-working and able to work effectively both independently and within a team.Desirable Experience:Understanding of GPU architecture and micro-architecture.Understandingof a general-purpose CPU architecture (preferably ARM) and an interconnect architecture (preferably AMBA).Experience of complex SoC design and host/accelerator integration (configuration and communication mechanisms, interrupts, memory management, memory coherency).Understandingof computer graphics techniques and APIs (e.g. OpenGL and Vulkan) or compute APIs (e.g. OpenCL).Experience of using leading EDA tools (Cadence Xcelium, Synopsys VCS, etc).Understanding of HW and SW logging and tracing mechanisms and development of tools andmethodologies for improving debug efficiency.#LI-MF1
