We give people the opportunity to show what theyve learnt, we spread knowledge, spark enquiry, and aid understanding.The accountability of the role is for the control and optimisation of Global freight movements (sea, air, road, or rail) of product and information for movements from Suppliers and between Cambridge warehouses (origin to destination), while maintaining efficientfreight costs. Management of compliant shipment documentation, ensuring the critical path is upheld and any delays or issues are clearly communicated.As a Controller, you will ensure that the business has up to date information on the global freight movements of over 20 million books that Cambridge prints and distributes annually. A key part of the role requires liaising with our freight forwarding partnersto arrange transportation and ensure that both our internal and external customers receive goods in a timely manner.Members of the Global Freight Management team are also expected to work closely with our colleagues in Planning and Procurement along with our Trade Compliance team efficiently resolving daily global freight queries as they arise.We are looking for someone with experience, knowledge and expertise in the following:
