Our client is a fast growing Fire Alarms Business based in the Cambridge area. They have a great culture and are looking for forward thinking Fire Alarm Engineers to join their team. They are doing things differently to the norm and the young team have already established a great base of high profile clients. If you are looking for a new challenge and want to be part of something a bit different then this could be the ideal role for you.Job Role• Service & Maintenance Works (Fire Alarm/Emergency/Lighting/AOV/Extinguishers/CCTV/Door Entry/Access/Intruder Alarms)• Fire Alarm Installation/System Amendments Works• Remedial Works (Fire Alarm/Emergency Lighting/AOV/Extinguishers/CCTV/Door Entry/Access/Intruder Alarms)• To work independently and to be self-sufficient. To work alongside other Fire Alarm Engineers and to be part of a team• On site quotations and the ability to provide customers with costed solutions whilst on site• To be included in a flexible call out Rota 24/7 shared with all engineers (Calls Outs are Paid Extra at a minimum of 3hrs)Technical Knowledge:17th Edition qualified (with 2/3 years’ experience advantageous but not required)Full and detailed understanding of BS5839 Part 1Completed Units 1, 4, 5 FIA TrainingHas a comprehensive understanding of the causes and cures of fire alarm problems,including an ability to recommend changes to practices and processes that may cause falsealarms as well as changes to the fire detection and alarm systemBasic Electrical Safety training (ECA)Manufactures training in all other equipment required.
