Job Description

Rutherford Briant are recruiting for a Finance Project Accountant in Cambridge. This will be on a 12-month fixed term contract to support an established team with multiple projects around an integration project. The role will report to the Group FinancialController and duties will include:

  • Assisting with preparing the annual budget
  • Preparing the monthly management accounts for internal use
  • Monthly reporting of financial information to Group
  • Monitoring budget v actual on a monthly basis and reporting on variances
  • Checking payment runs twice monthly.
  • Looking after VAT on large shipments and ensuring that VAT can be reclaimed.
  • Quarterly VAT Returns
  • Assisting with the system upgrade with the Management Accountant
  • Assisting with the annual audit and the preparation of the statutory accounts
The ideal candidate will be ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with at least 5 years post qualification experience. You will also have experience of reporting under IFRS. Our client is also offering flexible working and only requiring 1-2 days per week in theoffice.
