Were incredibly proud to be recognised as one of the top 5 best places to work in the UK for two years running,as per Glassdoors Employees Choice Award.About the Role:Since the formation of the FP&A team in 2015, the aim of all of our FP&A colleagues is to support the various global business units, providing useful and insightful information to the senior and executives leaders to support and add value through the decisionmaking, financial planning and budget management process.As part of the team, you will need to be comfortable in an environment where change is a constant, at Abcam we are always striving to improve everything we do.Roles & Responsibilities: Design and develop monthly revenue and opex reporting including spend and headcount reporting and key financial and non-financial KPIs. Preparation of metrics and commentary for the management accounts board pack, ensuring this is in line with businessand stakeholder needs. Review of variances against prior year and target in order to support regular opex reviews with key stakeholders; as well as rolling view of future spend to identify risks and opportunities Analysis of performance in order to prepare content for monthly reviews with senior stakeholders. This includes revenue, opex and profit and deep dives into areas of focus where necessary Play key role in annual budget and regular forecasting process, across revenue and opex; including preparation of necessary templates into financial systems Analysis and dashboard design using Tableau (business information tool) in order to influence business decision making Business case modelling for strategic projects driving future growth of AbcamAbout You: Undergraduate degree minimum 2:1 or above Ideally professional qualification or studying to experience or an interest in working in Life Sciences Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data into meaningful and actionable insights and conclusion Excellent financial modelling experience using Excel and Tableau (preferable) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including ability to communicate to CFO level as well as ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial managers Experience of Partnering commercial stakeholders including relationship building and influencing Understanding of commercial part of the Business and how the financials explain performance Someone who thrives in a dynamic, everchanging environment - at Abcam we are always striving to improve everything we do Innovative and inquisitive Proactive self-starter who can pick things up quickly and run with projects autonomously Output focused - motivated by achieving goals and delivering results Growth mindset - adaptable, quick to learn Ability to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines Expert in Excel and TableauAdditional Information:We know that when it comes to benefits, no one size fits all.
