Job Description

Salary: Up to £23,000p.a.Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm100% based in the office, city centre location with parkingKameo Recruitment is partnering with an established company based in Cambridge who are looking for a Finance Administrator join their team for an initial 12-month contract to cover maternity leaveReporting to the Office Manager you will be part of the Finance & Administration team assisting with accounts administration, along with office assistance; Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail is essential. If this could be you Keep reading!Duties & Responsibilities of the Finance Administrator

  • Checking invoices for correct additions, authorised signatory and budget coding.
  • Check employee expense claims for additions and foreign exchange value, ensure all relevant receipts attached and authorised signatory obtained.
  • Prepare invoices for payment and create bank form
  • Check foreign currency invoices (as above). Prepare bank form.
  • Scan all manual submissions of invoices, expense claims and payment forms for electronic filing.
  • Enter invoices and manual payments into the Accounts system
  • Maintain the accounts filing systems
  • Reconcile statements and deal with outstanding invoice enquires
  • Recording data in monthly summaries and departmental budget report
  • Provide Reception Cover (as required) - answering phone, distribute post, organise couriers, greet visitors
  • Monitor office expenses - telephone, stationery, photocopier, and postage usage
  • Provide assistance with the office Health & Safety - maintaining documents and carrying out required risk assessments
Requirements for this role
  • Ideally some accounts administration experience but would consider candidates who have started studying the AAT or equivalent accounts certificate and have a passion for numbers and keen to start a career in accounts / finance
  • Excellent numeric skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills, ability to manage tasks simultaneously and given deadlines.
