Job Description

Salary: £35,000 - 40,000 p.a.Hours of work: Full timeKameo Recruitment are partnering with a Cambridge based scientific company who design and manufacture scientific instruments, to recruit a Field Service Engineer. You will be servicing and repairing safety cabinets and workstations in the UK and Europe,whilst providing excellent customer service, so ideally you will have some knowledge of electro-mechanical products, along with excellent communication skills.Need to be able to travel to America for training in your first week of work to learn about the product and how to service and repair the product for customers.There are around 900 current customers and therefore the successful candidate would manage their own workload and work independently. This role does involve travelling around the UK and Europe approx. 25% of their timeDuties & Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer:

  • Service and repair existing workstations
  • Online support for workstations
  • Regular communication with US company, ensuring support is up to date
  • Onsite IQOQ and calibration
  • Feedback support problems to R&D and Sales team
  • Maintain warranty records
  • Maintain calibrated equipment records and calibration
  • Monitor support performance through ticketing system
Requirements for this role:
  • Ability to manage own workload and work independently
  • Willingness to travel around the UK and Europe
  • Some knowledge of electronic fault finding
  • Some knowledge of electro-mechanical products
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full driving licence
