Job Description

Job Role: Facilities Administrator *Enhanced DBS Needed*Location: Central CambridgeStart Date: ASAPContract Type: Temporary to PermanentSalary: £23,000- £27,000 per annumHoliday Entitlement: 25 days annual leave per year plus all Public holidays, to be taken at times convenient to the college. Holiday restrictions apply for the last week in June and from the third week in August to the end of September andthe first week of every term.Hours: 8.30 AM - 5.00 PM Monday to Friday. Occasional weekends - potentially two weekends per year.OverviewOur client is a prestigious college in Central Cambridge, renowned for its commitment to academic excellence and providing an enriching environment for students. We are seeking a Facilities Administrator to join a friendly and supportive team and contributeto the smooth functioning of the college site! This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity and we are looking for someone who is available immediately!We are looking for somebody who is proud to create good relationships with students and colleagues alike and be an ambassador for the college!Main Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the College Site Manager to manage spreadsheets, shared inbox, and escalate matters to the Site Manager when needed.
  • Day-to-day management of tasks
  • Be the initial point of contact for contractors on site, and reporting back to College Site Manager as required.
  • Communicating with all staff on important site updates
  • Ensuring contractors are escorted on-site in line with safeguarding regulations as required.
  • Assist with room set-up/assemblies as required
  • Checking first aid boxes, fire extinguishers, emergency exits, weekly fire alarm testing, and termly fire evacuations.
  • Assisting with compliance inspections across the sites.
  • Carry out routine checks each term for Boarding Staffs accommodation.
  • Monitoring and utilising the Building Management Software System.
Requirements:
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in an administrative OR facilities role, ideally within the education sector or a busy office environment.
  • An organised individual with leadership qualities.
  • Strong communication skills to be able to liaise with individuals on different levels and from diverse backgrounds.
