This is an exciting opportunity to join a remarkable Development and Alumni Relations office. Working directly with the Executive Director, Chief of Staff, Executive team and the Leadership Team, you will manage a variety of projects and the Executive Directorsworkload.We have an outstanding track record of securing philanthropic income and has overall responsibility for coordinating University-wide development campaigns, raising funds to support schools, faculties, departments and other central University institutions.We work closely with Cambridges 31 Colleges and its sister office, Cambridge in America, to maximise fundraising from a range of constituencies across the globe.The Executive Assistant is responsiblefor managing the Executive Directors (ED) working life. The role holder will provide excellent diary management, manage and prioritise the EDs work, carry out research and draft/commission and prepare detailed briefingnotes. The EA will be working closely with the executive team, led by the Chief of Staff, to provide a high level of executive and administrative assistance in an office where activities are multi-dimensional, high-profile and externally visible.The successful candidate will have first class organisational skills and proven experience of providing executive assistance on a one-to-one basis at Director level. They will be expected to have a sound understanding of the Universitys structures, be confident,ambitious and proactive, and have the ability to work using their own initiative and judgement to make decisions on behalf of the ED. Excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills are essential as they will be required to interact with people at all levels,internally and externally. Strong team working skills and a willingness to assist others in their work are a pre-requisite of this role.This role is based in central Cambridge. We practise a hybrid working model and the successful candidate will be expected to be in the office for a minimum of four days a week.Closing date for this position is 9th January 2023.First round interviews for this position are anticipated to take place week commencing 16th January 2023.Second round interviews for this position are anticipated to take place week commencing 23rd January 2023.
