Estate Data TechnicianSalary: £29,176 - £34,804Reference: XM27038The University of Cambridges Estates Division is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled individual to join the Estate Data Team as an Estate Data Technician.This role is responsible for the production, co-ordination and upkeep of the Universitys core spatial data in accordance with local, national and international standards.Maintaining an accurate and up to date record of as-built assets includes management of CAD (Computer Aided Design), BIM (Building Information Models) and GIS (Geographic Information System) data for locations, sites, buildings, floors and spaces.The role holder will liaise with a wide range of individuals on a daily basis from internal project managers, facilities management team, University department buildings managers, building surveyors and external consultants and must have the ability to communicatewith all levels in a professional manner.The ideal candidate will be educated to at least HNC/HND Level in an Architectural discipline or relevant building industry qualification and will be expected to advance the use of GIS and BIM data within the team and to develop innovative data visualisations,and applications that influence business processes.This is a great opportunity to join a successful team within a world class institution.Interviews will be held week commencing 26th July 2021.To apply please click apply to continue your application on our website.Please quote reference XM27038 on your application and in any correspondence about this vacancy.The University actively supports equality, diversity and inclusion and encourages applications from all sections of society.The University has a responsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to live and work in the UK.
