Job Description

Enquiry HandlerCambridge Hospital | Customer ServicesPermanent Contract | Full Time (37.5 Hours)Up To £21,000 (P/A)Join us as an Enquiry Handler in our Cambridge Hospital and play your part in building a healthier nation.You will be joining this high performing team of experienced Enquiry Handlers / Private Patient Sales Executives who consistently receive excellent feedback. You will be responsible with the team for delivering excellent customer service to patients whowill be calling requiring information, appointments and general enquiries.The opportunityAs our Enquiry Handler you will support the team with:

  • Professional and effective handling of self-pay enquiries (capturing enquirers details, booking appointments, resolving queries, giving information, guideline pricing and providing advice on the patient pathway) from phone calls and emails with prospectiveself-pay patients
  • Adopt ethical techniques to convert enquiries to outpatient appointments, procedures or tests
  • Generating/following up on leads through the CRM system
  • Meeting team targets and growing the self-pay proposition
  • Attend patient information events (in person and virtually) to represent the hospital, consultants and our services
  • Learn skills required to assist in booking outpatient appointments
  • Input to customer communication planning, and build close working relationships with key stakeholders such as Consultants and Medical Secretaries
The personTo succeed as an Enquiry Handler, you will need:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a good level of IT literacy
  • Motivation with good organisational skills
  • Call centre background ideally - pleased to deal with taking a high volume of calls in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience of Salesforce would be beneficial but not mandatory as training will be provided
  • Experience in healthcare, sales or customer facing roles would be beneficial
