Job Description

This is a great time to be joining the team as they put their footprint at the forefront of industries that are criticalto solving some of our worlds most complex issues today.We are supporting them in their recruitment for an Electronics Hardware Engineer as they commercialise quantum photonic technology and develop quantum networking systems.Your experience should cover design, implementation and test of electronics circuits and systems. Your input will be vital within this x-disciplinary team and your work will be key in bringing products into this exciting market.The Role:

  • Design and validate electronic circuits and systems incorporating photonic devices and high-performance analogue and digital hardware
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to develop, deliver and support products and systems
  • Collaborate with external project partners, supporting system demonstrations, project planning and reporting, NPI activities, etc
About You:
  • A good degree in Electronic Engineering or similar
  • Experience with hands-on electronic circuit board and system design, bring-up and validation including both analogue and digital electronics
  • Ideally some industry experience covering the full electronic product development lifecycle
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout experience
  • Experience using a range of electronic test equipment
  • Strong ability to analyse and interpret measured results and solve problems
What else would be useful:
  • Design of electronic systems using photonic devices (lasers, photodiodes and related optical/fibre components)
  • High-speed digital design and FPGA experience
  • High frequency / RF experience
