Job Description

Electronic & Software EngineerBased out the outskirts of Cambridge, one of our amazing Technology manufacturing clients are seeking an Electronic & Software Engineer to join their world-class engineering team. They offer world-class development opportunity, exposure to one of industry fours most cutting-edge technologies & an excellent clean room working environment.Your ResponsibilitiesOperating in the field of specialist process machinery for nanotechnology, you will primarily be tasked with the development of Electronic systems & development/programming of firmware for bespoke automated technology.

  • Create designs for specific electronic components, sub-systems, and assemblies.
  • Programming device firmware for upgrading system applications and new product developments.
  • Use electronic systems design and firmware development skills to ensure machinery is at the forefront of technology.
    • Ideal Candidate ProfileWe all know that businesses will not get everything they are asking (rarely anyway) however if you have experience or tick several of the below points, chances are they would be interested in meeting you!
  • A Degree in a Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or similar relevant academic background (HNC/HND etc)
  • Experience working with programming packages such as Visual Basic/Visual Studio
  • C+/C#/JavaScript or other programming languages would be beneficial however not essential.
  • Knowledge of close/active feed-back control loop theory
  • Device firmware programming
  • Competent with system/device troubleshooting to component level.
  • Experience working in a technology consulting or high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with PCB design
    • Candidates should be able to demonstrate their ability to create ideas and offer technical solutions in short timescales, as well as the ability to manage several projects at one time.Benefits
