Job Description

Requaero is recruiting an Electromagnetics Engineer to join our global clients sales and marketing team site in the UK.You will join our clients Applications team to support commercial and academic customers to improve their physical modelling and simulation tasks using our clients software.Your role will include but not be limited to:

  • Providing technical advice to the sales team at both pre- and post-sales stages
  • Providing support and explanation to customers by email, by phone and in person
  • Conducting training courses
  • Supporting the customer by addressing their modelling requirements and providing guidance, advice, and modelling assistance in a wide variety of application areas
  • Creating and delivering product demonstrations at public workshops, customer meetings and professional conferences
  • Developing benchmark models to demonstrate features and capabilities of the software to meet the modelling requirements of customers
    • Our ideal candidate will have the following profile:
  • Phd in Optics, power conversion, HF communications, Physics or similar, or MSc plus some relevant industry experience.
  • Good knowleddge of Matlab
  • Deep understanding of electromagnetics.
  • Modelling experience using FEM - Finite element method
  • Experience using FEA - Finite Element Analysis and Electromagnetic design tools such as HFSS, ADS, JCMSuite, COMSOL, FEKO, Elmer FEM or similar
  • Experience in some of the following - antenna design, microwave electromagnetics, photonics, waveguides, mmWave, or microwaves, plasmonics, laser-matter interaction, and optics, ray tracing, cavities, AC/DC & Electromagnetics, Electrical, Electromagnetic Heating, Particle Tracing, Piezoelectric Devices, Plasma Physics, Ray Optics, RF & Microwave Engineering, Semiconductors, Wave Optics
  • Experience in some of the following, Matlab, Data Analysis, Simulations, Numerical Analysis, and hypothesis Testing.
  • The ability to discern the physics underlying complex modelling projects - expertise in Maxwells Equations
  • Good and clear presentation style in English
  • Able to present and explain at different levels to different audiences in English
  • Commercial understanding
