Working within the Chief Operating Officer’s senior team, as well working closely with the Director of Strategy and Major Projects and clinical divisions, this role has responsibility for developing, co-ordinating and implementing the Trust’s sustainable recovery strategy following the outbreak of Covid-19. As a trust and as an STP, we must develop a resilient and sustainable operating model that allows us to: provide high quality care to our local and regional patients with and without Covid-19; maximise and clinically prioritise available capacity; keep our staff and patients safe.The Director Strategic Operations role will combine operational strategy, analysis and operational delivery and works with a range of both internal and external stakeholders including clinical, nursing and management leads, the CCG, NHS England and NHS Improvement and System Partners.You will need to have significant strategic and operational experience at senior management in a complex acute hospital environment, have excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills and demonstrate commitment, and proven track record of helping to deliver, safe, kind and excellent care.You should have experience working at senior levels within national or regional bodies, have a detailed understanding of the national policy and regulatory landscape, and demonstrable ability to influence national decision making to improve outcomes for patients.Closing date 18th August 2020Interview Date 28th August 2020 - via Skype/ZoomPlease note:- Internal applicants on permanent contracts can only apply for this post as a secondment and must have the approval of your current line manager before applying.Benefits to youWe offer development opportunities and a wide range of benefits including on-site leisure facilities, shopping concourse, day nurseries and access to a great transport system with easy access to airports and rail travel.For further details of our fantastic benefits please refer to the attachment below - CUH Benefits.Please note if you would like to discuss the required hours of this role further, you should approach the contact given.
