DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to work in the Machine Learning engineering group. This is an excellent opportunity for someone keen on DevOps, testing and quality of software to influence and improve the quality of compilation tools in supportof Arm IP. The Machine Learning Compilers team is dedicated to developing and improving Arm compute IP support in next generation compilation tools for deep learning frameworks.As a Senior DevOps Engineer in our team, you will have the opportunity to buildupon your existing background, knowledge and expertise to provide automated build, test and development solutions targeting a variety of platforms including simulators, mobile phones and cloud server instances.We seek versatility in proactive individualswith experience and understanding of automation tooling, CI platforms and system administration.Responsibilities:The successful candidate will help the team in the development of our compilation tools by:Maintaining and improving build and test solutions toenable the teams work and our deliveries.Investigating and implementing new systems and changes to development approaches to continuously improve how we operate.Providing technical direction, support, advice and direction to your peers, influencing the engineeringteam and management.There are also regular opportunities to engage with DevOps engineers in other groups and the wider DevOps community in Arm.Education & QualificationsUniversity degree, ideally computer science or a related STEM background. Other backgroundswill be considered if you have suitable experience and interest in the role.Essential Skills & Qualities:Experience of DevOps and delivery support for large software projects;Experience with CI/CD tools, for example Jenkins, buildbot or GitHub Actions;Ableto use command-line tools (e.g. Linux shell) for regular work;Proficient in Shell scripting.Proficiency with at least one programming language such as Python and one version control tool such as Git;Experience with container environments, such as Docker;Youare most likely to succeed in our team if you are self-motivated and passionate about making a difference, flexible and technically versatile, and can influence and encourage the team to innovate while listening to their input.Desirable Skills & Qualities:Theseare some of the skills and experiences a successful candidate might have.
