Job Description

I am looking for a Desgin researcher to join one of the UKs largest and most trusted providers of digital mental healthcare, the work they do already changes lives every single day. But the mental healthcare revolution is just getting started.With a 140-strong team and a health and wellbeing package to support you each and every day, plus plenty of opportunity for growth and development as we all strive to achieve our collective ambition. The Design Researcher will own the design & user research in one of our two product team. You will use both qualitative and quantitative research methods to ensure our products and services are useful, usable and meaningful. The insights you uncover will feedinto design direction, strategy and evidence-based decision making. Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct user research studies to better understand user needs and behaviours
  • Plan and run usability testing sessions
  • Produce a range of design research artefacts (eg personas, user journey maps, mental models) that guide design decisions and enable evidence-based decision making
  • Plan and run design sprints and cross-functional participatory workshops
  • Measure the impact of your product, with a focus on user journeys, user engagement, and accessibility
  • Work closely with product owners and key stakeholders to understand the problems we are trying to solve, and own the research roadmap for your product
  • Present and communicate research findings to teammates
  • Play an active role in companies research community
  • Support the organisations adoption of Agile.
Requirements Essential* Experience as a Design Researcher (or as a closely related role) * Experience creating variety of design research artefacts * Can create a research plan, including formulation of a research hypothesis * Can ask, as well as answer product and user experience related questions * Can simplify complex ideas * Can work collaboratively and empathetically * Can communicate research findings to cross-functional stakeholders with data storytelling, presentation slides and storytelling.
