We are recruiting a Deposition Coordinator to join our Database Team.This is a rather unique role, think of it like you would an editorial assistant.What do our deposition team do They contribute to the creation, maintenance and upgrading of the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD), particularly in the acquisition and preparation of data ready for scientific curation as well as typing up legacy data.The team is quite small, friendly and very close.About you.This can be a technically demanding role (don’t worry, we offer extensive training) however, we expect you’ll have an interest in science and/or data.What you will need is excellent numerical and communication skills. A solid working knowledge of standard word processing and e-mail and spreadsheet applications.Scripting or programming knowledge would be beneficial but not essential.Words that describe you should be conscientious, honest, and inquisitive with excellent attention to detail.Who are CCDCCCDC are world-leading experts in structural chemistry data, software and knowledge for materials and life science research and application. The scientists and software developers at the CCDC create and supply the database system storing the world’s entire collection of the 3D structures of chemicals.
