Data Engineer (Mid to Senior)Life Sciences/Medi-Tech/PharmaCambridge, Cambridgeshire£DOE and level of seniority (we want to see all levels of candidates)TEC Partners are working exclusively with a fast-growing Cambridge start-up, combining AI, computational biology methods and deep pharmacology expertise.As a Data Engineer you will be tasked with building and implementing workflows, working with one of the most unique and interesting data sets in the world. You will be working symbiotically with both drug Discovery Teams and AI teams, forming a new Specialist Data Arm of the business! You will help support tool and algorithm development as well as contributing to technical development projects, leading data engineering work, and involving collaborative computational predictions.Role Responsibilities:- Builds, implements and maintains ETL production workflows.- Develops data models to represent and expose data rich features in support of Drug Discovery activities.- Contributes to building data content to source and ingest unique drug discovery pipelines.- Proactively seeks to improve data infrastructure and capabilities through implementing the latest advances in data warehousing technologies.- Supports core business activities by devising data solutions to Team drug matching problems as a priority.Key Skills/Experience Required:- Postgraduate qualification in computational sciences, engineering or informatics sciences with more than 3 years industrial experience developing BigData solutions.- Demonstrable success in a prior data engineering or data science role e.g. has similarly developed data solutions, in academic or industrial projects.- Preferable experience in information security and data compliance.- Proficient in modern engineering practices, confident Python developer.If you would like some more information, please get in touch with Harry Calvert at TEC Partners and apply below.
