Job Description

Customer Support Engineer Our client is a highly successful business with award winning audio products sold across the globe.Continued success means they wish to recruit a person to join their customer technical support team.This position will suit a confident outgoing person with experience of helping/supporting customers (perhaps in a retail environment setting up computers or stereo systems etc) and an interest in technology such as audio, HI-FI, software etc. There is likely to be some international travel.The role will involve supporting customers, the sales and marketing teams, and helping to ensure the delivery of class-leading products. This will involve you acting as the frontline support for all customers (distributors, dealers and end users) experiencing system’ issues. You will be responsible for liaising with all departments within the company in order to investigate and solve customer problems, some of which may be more complex or long-standing problems that have been escalated by the service department.Key Responsibilities

  • Provide front line support locally and remotely (via video call, instant messaging, email, phone) regarding hardware, playback software, networking, and control apps to authorised dealers and end users.
  • Learn the functions and operation of new products, systems, or equipment by attending training or through tutorials or self-instruction.
  • Perform case testing and pre-release software acceptance testing.
  • Demonstrate a continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to provide quality seamless customer service.
  • Help manage online content to ensure knowledge base, FAQ, documentation, tutorials and training materials are up to date and available.
  • Ideal Skills
  • Excellent IT literacy, including MacOS, Windows, Microsoft Office suite
  • Good knowledge of digital audio principals
  • Good knowledge of consumer TCP/IP networking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
