A Local Authority based in Cambridgshire is looking for a Covid 19 Response Officer to join their Facilities and Environmental Services team. This is a full time, temporary position and the ideal candidate will be qualified in Environmental Health and have extensive knowledge on health and safety, specifically with COVID 19 restrictions and regulations.The purpose of the role is to provide advice and information to commercial businesses and those with responsibility for private sector housing relating to COVID-19 and its prevention thus ensuring the health & safety of individuals as well as the promotion of a vibrant economy within the Local area. The main responsibilities for the role include: Provision of advice, information and support to businesses, landlords and property managers relating to relevant legislation, guidance and local outbreak controls.Investigation of complaints including undertaking monitoring and site visits / inspections as necessary.Assisting with the Councils prevention based communications and targeted campaigning.Given the nature of the work the ideal candidate will be qualified in Environmental Health with experience of carrying out local authority intervention work including dealing with outbreaks and infection control. Any experience of carrying out H&S audits would also be ideal.The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering between £25 - £30 p/hour Umbrella Ltd (approx. £620-£720 p/week NET after deductions) dependant on experience and qualifications.
