Offering a varied customer focused role and personable working environment.The SuccessfulCost Engineer will be from a Construction background, with experience of estimations for full interior fit outs, either Commercial or Residential, such as Restaurants, Offices, Homes etc. You will be a confident and articulated communicator, with great customer service skills. You will be well versed with Microsoft word and Excel. You will be organised, have a high attention to detail and able to work cross functionally.TheCost Engineer Role:*Deal with tender enquiries, providing professional advice and clearly set expectations with each client on turnaround times.* Pricing of projects of various scales, analysing scope, pricing/approving variations and assessing value engineered options to meet the needs of the client as well as any set deadlines.* Oversee valuations and variations on assigned projects, maintain full control over each project.*Working across Commercial, Residential and Educational sectors.*Oversee all valuations and variations on projects, ensuring all documentation is recorded properly.*Liaising between departments including Design, Projects, Contracts, Administration and Site Teams.*Monitoring progress of project and jobs.*Liaising with Suppliers and Clientele.*Taking part in site surveys to gather the correct information for providing quotations.*Regularly maintain the Design Management Schedule for each project.*Samples to be collated, recorded and fully labelled for each project – Live or Tender.*Preparation of schedules of components for quantifying purposes.*Preparation of take-offs ready for factory production.The SuccessfulCost Engineer:*You will be from a Construction background, with experience of estimations for full interior fit outs, either Commercial or Residential, such as Restaurants, Offices, Homes etc…*You will be a confident and articulated communicator, with great customer service skills.*You will be well versed with Microsoft word and Excel.*You will be organised, have a high attention to detail and able to work cross functionally.
