Although this role is contractually based at our Cambridge office, you will also be able to work from home within the UK, withthe expectation that you will attend our offices and travel as needed for your role. In this role you will attend our Cambridge office at least 1 day (currently Thursdays) per week on a regular basis (initially more frequently to support your induction) andwill occasionally travel within the UK. If you need flexible working arrangements, please outline this in your application.The Chemists’ Community Fund, the working name of the RSC Benevolent Fund, provides financial support for the relief and prevention of poverty, as well as advice and signposting to support members and their families through challenging life events. Thisservice is delivered through a team of specialist Caseworkers and referrals to specialist providers. Beyond relieving poverty, the Fund has scope to utilise its funds for alternative charitable needs.The main purpose of the Chemists Community Fund Operations Coordinator role is to take responsibility for administration and coordinating the operational aspects of the Chemists’ Community Fund, including data management of confidential information, recordingfunding decisions, raising payments in accordance with decisions made, assisting with arrangements for governance meetings, tracking actions and taking minutes.The Chemists Community Fund Operations Coordinator will be responsible for supporting processes and sound data management via our database and other reporting mechanisms, and be the systems administrator for our digital Case Management system. This includeshandling sensitive and personal data in line with UK GDPR processes, and preparing statistical reports for managers and committees.This role also supports other day-to-day activities of the Chemists’ Community Fund by assisting the Chemists’ Community Fund Managers and colleagues, supporting our network of volunteers and working closely with other RSC teams.We are looking for:• Excellent organisational skills and good experience of operational and administrative processes including financial systems, databases, written communications, spreadsheet software and overall management of sensitive and personal information and data inline with legislation and confidentiality requirements.• Articulate communicator with experience acting as an assistant to managers and teams, coordinating complex customer focussed team operations and working as part of the team.• Strong numerical literacy and understanding of financial information.• Experience of managing and manipulating data and information from databases and CRMs to provide reports, analysis and highlight trends.• Have an empathetic approach to casework and handling enquiries, and be able to undertake knowledge gathering tasks to support member enquiries and to support, and assist, Managers and colleagues with project development.• Experience of recommending and implementing improvements to operational and administration processes to increase efficiency, customer service and /or improve accuracy.When applying, please provide an up-to-date CV and a supporting statement (no more than 500 words) indicating how your skills, knowledge and competencies match the requirements outlined in the job description.At the RSC, we recognise the benefits of a diverse workforce and welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds to apply.
