Job Description

Control Software EngineerBased out the outskirts of Cambridge, one of our amazing Technology manufacturing clients are seeking a Control Software Engineer to join their world-class engineering team. They offer world-class development opportunity, exposure to one of industry fours most cutting-edge technologies & an excellent clean room working environment.Your ResponsibilitiesOperating in the field of specialist process machinery for nanotechnology, you will primarily be tasked with the development of control software modules (Beckhoff PLC) as well as developing code and test modules & integrating software/hardware systems.

  • Work closely with Software Architects to develop specifications, requirement & test documentation.
  • Develop PLC code using structured text
  • Interfacing Modbus, IO-Link, RS23/485
  • Software development, testing & validation.
  • Ideal Candidate ProfileWe all know that businesses will not get everything they are asking (rarely anyway) however if you have experience or tick several of the below points, chances are they would be interested in meeting you!
  • A Degree in a Electrical of Software Engineering, or similar relevant academic background (HNC/HND etc)
  • Experience working with software used in automated electromechanical machinery.
  • Beckhoff PLC knowledge & competence
  • Automation controls & sequencing
  • Experience working in a technology consulting or high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate their ability to create ideas and offer technical solutions in short timescales, as well as the ability to manage several projects at one time.Benefits
