Our strength comes from our outstanding people; our strong relationships in the educationworld; our expertise in using technology to help people learn; our global footprint and local reach, and our position as a profitable, global company with a unifying sense of purpose.About the jobReporting to the Head of Course Development, the Content Development Manager will be responsible for managing a team of Principal, Lead and Senior Instructional Designers, responsible for the content development and delivery of online learning content andassets for our online and blended course development projects. You will ensure that your team maintain the quality and envisioned learning design throughout the content development process, as well as ensuring timely delivery according to scope, schedule,quality and budget.You will ensure that appropriate resource, processes and procedures are in place to support this delivery, working collaboratively with other functional leads to ensure an efficient and joined up approach. You will determine and agree on content developmentbest practice. This includes leading on strategy for accessibility and ensuring that courses meet all WCAG guidelines from a content development perspective. In addition, you will manage and maintain an appropriate instructional design pool of resources, settingbest practice and consistency for instructional design across the team.You will also provide continuity in approach to team development and training, removing obstacles to ensure that team members are empowered and able to succeed and develop.The ideal candidate will have a background in content development and/or instructional design, with experience of creating quality online learning experiences. You will have line management experience. You will also have excellent project management skillsand the ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams to deliver learning experiences of outstanding quality. You will also have a track record in creating efficient processes and procedures.You will play an important role in working collaboratively with the academic services team upstream to bring your pedagogical experience and expertise to each project. You will ensure that content and instructional principles are considered in the designphase to ensure a seamless transition from academic services to content development.The job description reflects the current priorities of the company.
