About The RoleAre you a great communicator with skills in social media and a way with words Do you want to work for an organisation dedicated to advancing research, education and innovation We have an excellent opportunity for someone to join our Marcomms teamand help raise awareness of GANTs activities. GANT is a unique organisation, working with our partners to interconnect over 50 million users at 10,000 research and education institutions across Europe via our high-speed data communications networks and secure access technologies. As an integral part of the Marcomms team, you will support the implementation of marketing communications plans to illustrate and convey the impact GANT and its partners have in enabling European research, innovation and scientific excellence. Your role willalso provide communications support for the GANT Project, a vital element of Europes e-infrastructure strategy. This will involve creating engaging content in a variety of mediums about the benefits of the GANT pan-European network, as well as working togetherwith GANTs partners to publish content through the most appropriate channels.About YouWere looking for someone who has a flair for writing and content creation, and can take technical information on ICT subjects, such as networking technologies, and write an engaging narrative around its benefits and applications to appeal to a wider audience.If you already have some experience in a marketing and communications role and are looking for your next step, then wed love to hear from you. Equally, if youre at the beginning of your career but are a wordsmith and a natural communicator, then wed loveto hear from you too. Youll be working closely with Marcomms colleagues and the in-house design team, as well as technical specialists and subject experts within GANT and the wider community, so youll need to be a confident communicator with a high standard of written and spokenEnglish. Youll also need to enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment. Therell be plenty of opportunity for you to step up and take on new challenges, so a flexible and pro-active approach is important. Youll also need to be able to work to tightdeadlines across multiple projects and tasks.
