Job Description

Our client, a global consultancy company based in Cambridge, is looking for a Client Relationship Assistant for their CEO. This is a part time position (30hrs a week Mon-Fri) and is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover). The core objective of this role is to aid the CEO and support their external client-facing work. Initially this role will be home-based, returning to the office in the future.You will spend a significant amount of time liaising with clients to arrange meetings and scheduling post-pandemic travel. The CEO is also Chairman of the Board of Directors and you will work closely with their PA who supports the Board and Executive Management Committee.As a proactive, efficient and responsive assistant, you will have a strong work ethic, be well organised and have a proven ability to build relationships at senior levels of client organisations. You must maintain a professional image in all interactions and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will also have experience of building complex international travel itineraries, ideally in the US.Key responsibilities will include:

  • To pro-actively liaise with the CEO to ensure active management of, and to routinely set up, key client contact via email, phone or virtual meetings
  • To routinely update and maintain the bespoke Client Relationship Management leads database and Contact Network tool
  • To actively manage the CEO’s sales action list, following up with clients as necessary
  • Research to gain leads into companies or identify discussion points
  • To work closely in liaison with the CEO’s PA to proactively manage their diary - pre-empting time constraints and making sure the CEO has a good balance to cover their many roles
  • Administrative duties (preparing expenses claims, purchase orders, phone cover, maintaining files and databases etc.)
  • To routinely set up meetings with prospects or clients, especially around regular trips to the USA and Europe
  • To create complex travel arrangements (with travel agent): plan itineraries, provide currency & travel equipment, raise associated paperwork
  • To provide support whilst the CEO is in transit, re-arranging meetings and travel as circumstances dictate.
  • It is essential that you have:
  • Significant experience of working successfully at Board level, preferably in a consulting or client services environment
  • Experience of successfully building complex international travel itineraries via a travel agent and associated diary management
  • Experience and discretion handing sensitive and confidential information
  • Proven ability to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills at all levels
  • Proven ability to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
  • Customer Service skills; to enjoy interacting with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Experience and working knowledge of Apple Macs
  • Experience and working knowledge of Google Docs, Dropbox, MS Word, and CRM tools
  • Strong team player skills; able to actively support the consultant support team, and wider business support team.
  • You will be joining a friendly, close-knit team of assistants, working collaboratively with them across the company to do what’s best for our client and helping to maximise efficiency in all areas. Required skills
