We have an exciting new position for a Chemical Process Development Engineer / Process Engineer to join a rapidly growing start-up developing revolutionary, highly-selective adsorbent nanomaterials. These materials have an anticipated global impact to revolutioniseindustries such as green energy, automotive, industrial gases, space and biomedical.With a working solution (developed in partnership with a world leading expert) and a host of influential multi-national companies queueing up for their technology, this is a fantastic time to join as the company transitions from an R&D organisation to afully operational product development company.If you are a Chemical Process Development Engineer who enjoys the challenge of turning prototype designs and pilot-scale rigs into full production scale systems capable of producing industrial quantities, then this role is for you.Responsibilities of Process Development Engineer / Systems Engineer* Development of new-to-the-world technical solutions for the design and build of lab-scale or pilot-scale rigs to demonstrate and validate adsorbent nano materials * Deliver specific desired process results. * Lead technical development projects from start to finish, with ultimate responsibility for all deliverables. * Propose and agree the technical requirements for each project, including bespoke experimental setups, numerical designs, validated models or scaled-up materials.* Lead the development, testing, optimisation, and validation of technical solutions to challenging new client problems.Requirements of Process Development Engineer / Systems Engineer* A PhD / Doctorate or Masters in Chemical Engineering, together with recent and relevant industrial experience including:* Experimental experience in analysing transport phenomena, reaction kinetics, catalysis, or a closely related sub-discipline.* Strong background in transport phenomena, numerical simulation and optimisation.* Solid foundation in separations, solid-fluid systems and reaction technologies.* Excellent communication skills, with the ability and experience to communicate technical results clearly and effectively verbally and in writing to internal teams and external clients* Strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership
