Job Description

* This role is open to a Graduate or a more experienced Developer *A fast-growing, dynamic US company providing solutions to the financial markets are looking to recruit an experienced C++ Software Developer. Their core business is in the US, and we have expanded into Asia and European markets.With development facilities in Cambridge UK and the US, we are looking for need high-quality C++ programmers to assist with core development of their proprietary server technology and very-high-speed message bus. You will be joining a team of expert C++ programmers, utilizing the latest compiler toolsets and o/s APIs in a highly demanding real-time environment.What were looking for:

  • Excellent C++ skills, including STL / boost / C++11 and fluency in template-based design. Familiarity with work of Meyers, Josuttis, Sutter, Alexandrescu etc..
  • Good networking (IPv4 and IPv6) and system programming skills on Linux and/or Windows.
    • Bonus points for:
  • Knowledge of financial markets an advantage, as is experience of exchange interfaces and related technology (FIX, TREP, ITCH etc).
  • Knowledge of cloud-based platforms (AWS and GCP).
    • Education
  • 2:1 or above Hons. degree or equivalent in mathematics, computer science or comparable scientific discipline.
    • Message to GRADUATES:*** The skills listed are not usually skills you would usually pick up with University but the business is open to taking on talented graduates who show a visible interest in programming and who have solid (A/B grade) A-levels, including a least one in the realm of Science/Maths/Computing *** Required skills
