Job Description

Role: Business Services ManagerSalary: £37,500 - £45,000Location: CambridgeOverview:Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a medium sized independent practice firm based in Cambridge who are looking for a Business Services Manager due to continued growth.As the successful candidate you will be the main point of contact for a portfolio of between 100 and 150 clients. The role will be a mixture of hands-on accounting duties and managerial duties. The portfolio largely consists of small owner-managed businesses and micro entities in a variety of industries with varying turnover levels.Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of statutory accounts
  • Preparation of corporation and personal tax computations
  • Supporting the trainee accountants
  • Liaising with clients, both face to face and over the phone
  • Preparation and review of quarterly VAT returns and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Advising clients with their bookkeeping requirements
    • Experience / Qualifications Required:
  • ACA/ ACCA fully qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong communication skills, both internally and directly with clients.
  • Demonstrable experience of supervising others and delegation of work.
  • Experience of using Caseware, Xero and other accounting software is preferable but not essential.
