Job Description

My client is an expanding biotech/pharmaceutical CDMO who are looking to expand the commercial function with an Business Development Manager to join on a permanent basis responsible for generating a sales pipeline and build key business relationships acrossthe clinical/Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology sector aligned with the company expansion plans.ResponsibilitiesDuties as the Business Development Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • You will focus on new business development by generating and qualifying sales lead / enquiries while supporting and growing existing relationships to increase sales across a portfolio of selected customers.
  • An ability to generate business opportunities in pharmaceutical, clinical or therapeutic areas, you will be technically trained in the life cycle of developing a product with a regulated environment.
  • You will work closely with the Business development Director and support the delivery of the sales budget and execute the companys growth strategy.
  • You will work closely with colleagues in quality, development and manufacturing functions to support new client programmes are delivered on time and budget.
  • As the Business Development Manager you will be expected to deliver presentations to new and existing customers, interact across all communication platforms on a regular basis and be the face of the company at key events, conferences and exhibitions. Thisis a customer facing role and it is expected you will travel on a regular basis across the EU.
Qualifications- Educated to degree level or PhD, ideally in the life sciences/chemistry or pharmacy, and with at least three years direct sales experience in a contract services environment.- Direct experience of selling of sterile pharmaceutical filling services/ CRO early drug development/ Pharmaceutical services would be highly advantageous but is not essential.- -Must have operated in a customer facing role interacting in the Pharmaceutical / CDMO/ biotechnology sector with proven experience of managing customer relations.- -Strong commercial background with prior experience of generating costing proposals, implementing sales plans and working to sales related targets.Key Words: Business Development Manager / Pharmaceutical Sales / sterile / Biologic / GMP/ Business Manager / Sales Manager / Pharma Sales / Contract Services / Technical Sales/BDM/Key account manager.About us: Templarfox is a privately owned recruitment business leading in executive search, management selection, Salary benchmarking and Business development services.
