Job Description

Business Development Lead - BiosensingLocation: South CambridgeshireSalary: £50k-£100k + excellent benefits!An exceptionally well-established next generation technology development company are seeking a Business Development Lead, to assist them in growing their highly innovative and world changing bio-sensory divisions client base. As The Business DevelopmentLead, you will get to partner with the worlds most ambitious companies on projects that are shaping the future of global healthcare - turning ideas into novel life-changing concepts into reality!Due to the varying nature of the company and role, this role could suit either an engineer or a scientist who are drawn towards the commercial areas - perhaps even coming from an applications role where client contact and hands-on development work hand inhand! Or someone with that technical background who is ready to focus more on business development to grow further.As the Business Development lead, you will get to source and scope opportunities for products and services you can truly believe in!The Business Development Lead will need the following:

  • A passion for innovative technology - within biosensing/medical device/healthcare.
  • Strong academic credentials in Engineering (electronic, mechanical or software) OR related scientific areas (Biology, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology etc.
  • A few years working directly with potential customers, whether that be in sales or funding negotiations.
  • Ideally, having experience in medical technology & devices, diagnostics, or wearables would be an advantage.
  • The ability to articulate your ability to seek out new business opportunities, discover new markets and create viable solutions to solve each clients unmet needs.
  • Preferably having some project management skills i.e. being able to know the resources required for specific development work to satisfy clients needs.
  • The ability to travel internationally - meeting clients and attend global conferences whilst keeping up to date with the state-of-the-art technology.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to lead proposal writing would also be helpful.
