BioinformaticianCambridge - Currently Flexible / Remote / Home WorkingUp to £40,000A great opportunity to work cutting-edge, practical bioinformatics for a leading research institute. You will drive the development and discovery of drugs, applying your computational biology and machine learning skills onto multi-omics data sets within a Linux environment. The ideal candidate will have the experience of NGS analysis, machine learning and statistical computing.THE ROLE - BIOINFORMATICIAN:* Development of new computational tools, in order to optimise the drug discovery process* Perform cutting-edge research in collaboration with leading pharmaceutical companies* Analysis of multi-omics data sets, within a high-performance Bioinformatics team.YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:To qualify for this Bioinformatian role, you must have:* A PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related discipline* Extensive experience in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis* Demonstrable experience with statistical programming using Python, R or MATLAB* Experience and knowledge of machine learning* Knowledge and experience working in a LINUX environment.HOW TO APPLY:To apply, please do so via this site.
