Job Description

Bid ManagerCambridgeFull Time, Permanent£40,000 - £60,000 (DOE)Are you a passionate Bid Manager And looking for an exciting new roleCoulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a Bid Manager to work with their very well-established client based in Cambridge.The successful Bid Manager will directly assist the Head of Bids and the wider team to manage bid activity and help to maintain their high win rate. This role encompasses both managing the bid process and drafting the material therefore those that possessa well-rounded knowledge of both are encouraged to apply.Principle Responsibilities for the Bid Manager:

  • Production of Tenders supporting all aspects of the bid process
  • Create and produce content through to presentation and debrief
  • Evaluate and improve current bidding processes
  • Implement new innovative ideas to develop winning strategies
  • Write, proof-read, and edit material
  • Prepare, coach and mentor the wider team to assist with presentations and pitches to clients
  • Evaluate and interpret the requirements for bids and advise correct approach
  • Continuously develop systems and tender best practice
  • Project Management
  • Training and Development of subordinates
Person Specification for the Bid Manager:
  • Bid Management experience is a must preferably in a professional services environment
  • At least 6 GCSEs (or equivalent) including C grade or above in English and Mathematics.
  • Ideally a marketing qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing
  • Commercial acumen: understanding of our business and clients / prospective targets businesses and their industries
  • Client focus and the development of relevant sales messages
  • Project management
  • A proactive self-starter who is motivated to contribute on a strategic and operational level.
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst keeping your sense of humour
  • Delegation and communication skills
  • Flexibility
  • Ability to draft in compelling, plain English style
  • Research and analysis skills
  • Balancing a demanding workload
  • Ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders
  • Confidence to talk to clients
