Our goal is to enable the analysis of any living thing, by anyone, anywhere!We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Metrichor Team as a Backend Web Developer. This exciting and challenging role is responsible for development and maintenance of all backend services supporting the EPI2ME web portal - a key componentof the cloud-based real-time biological solutions platform. The successful candidate will work within a small group of web developers and closely interact with other members of the Metrichor devops and front-end teams while delivering the next stage of the EPI2ME platform development.The Details... As a Backend developer you will help develop robust and scalable APIs serving the EPI2ME web portal, add new functionality to support the development of the user facing elements of the platform, create reusable code and libraries for future use, setup the siteperformance monitoring and optimisation, support provision of the requirements/specifications of the new features, troubleshoot and debug application code, take part in end-to-end testing activities and provide second line technical support.What Were Looking For... An enthusiastic and innovative Backend developer who can work fairly autonomously, but contribute and communicate well within the team as well as with members of customer support team. The ideal candidate will be result-oriented, have a positive can doattitude and proven track record of delivering products into the hands of users.You will be able to demonstrate:- 3+ years commercial experience building robust technical solutions - Solid experience working with APIs ( REST / GraphQL ) - Proficiency in Python, Git - Knowledge of TDD, CI / CD ( Gitlab ) practices and end-to-end web development processAlso beneficial would be experience / knowledge of Django, delivering of cloud-base ( AWS ) solutions, fine tuning Apache / NGINX / unicorn / etc, understanding of application security and optimisation.We offer outstanding benefits to include an attractive bonus, generous pension contributions, private healthcare and an excellent starting salary.
