Job Description

An excellent FE training provider is looking to recruit an Apprentice Coach in Automotive, to work on a full-time permanent basis. (part-time applicants will be considered)The ideal candidate will be experienced and motivated, with a true passion for teaching or willingness to learn and gain the relevant teacher/assessor qualiications.The role is to support apprentices and workplace mentors by providing guidance relevant to the sector-specific standard, and to hold learner progress reviews to ensure all parties clearly understand the progression for each apprentice and future targets.Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate well-structured, tripartite progress reviews which ensure learning opportunities planned are well matched to the learners needs, promote rapid learning and result in new knowledge and skills being applied in the workplace
  • Provide constructive verbal and written feedback that ensures learners know how to improve, thereby supporting rapid progression and achievement
  • Maintain effective links with employers, engaging and coaching work supervisors to provide good levels of support and guidance and facilitating appropriate and effective workplace on-the-job training
  • Maintain up to date and accurate records of individual learning and progress through the programme, providing swift support and intervention for those learners who start to fall behind
Salary & Benefits
  • The salary range is £28,000 to £31,500
  • 25 working days (plus bank holidays)
  • Additional Birthday day off

To be considered, suitable candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
  • Relevant Automotive/Motor Vehicle qualification
  • Good experience of HGV Mechanics
  • Teaching Qualification or equivalent or willingness to work towards
  • Training Assessment or Quality Assurance Award (TAQA) or willingness to work towards
  • D32/D33 or A1 Assessor Awards with TAQA/CAVA update or willingness to work towards
