Job: Automation Tester EngineerLocation: Cambridge / Remote (2 days a month on site)Type: ContractRate: £300 (p.d outside of IR35) Duration: 12 monthsWere looking for a contract test analyst with strong automation skills using Ranorex for a 12 month contract working remotely, with on site time needed twice a month.The role will work alongside the software development team on new product development projects comprising of hardware and software elements. The main body of the work will focus around testing the UI of a Windows Desktop application using the test automationframework Ranorex to validate features and product performance.Ideally were looking for:- Strong automation background.- Demonstrable experience testing window UI, ideally for WPF applications.- Ability to write, alter and follow test procedures.- Knowledge of working within and modern agile development process.- Experience using Source control and ticketing systems like Jira, Git and Redmine.- Ideally knowledge of a scripting language like Python, or Javascript, or a high-level language such as C#, Java or C++)- Any experience testing hardware systems or embedded technologies would be beneficial.The contract falls outside of IR35 and will have a 12-month duration initially. You will be required on site circa twice a month but are free the rest of the time to work remotely.
