Automation EngineerAn outstanding opportunity at a global, dynamic and highly respected life sciences organisation for an IT professional with an in depth knowledge of OSI PI data historian Responsible for supporting theAutomation department with the administration and developmentof the site OSI PI data historian and related OT infrastructure.Responsible for ensuring that the operation, security, maintenance and modifications to the systems are conducted in accordance with all applicable quality, regulatory and technical standardsexpected.Location: RemoteDuration: 12 monthsHourly rate: 43.30 PAYE - 56.50 UmbrellaRole Duties:Collaborate closely with other departments to translate business requirements into PI dashboards,reports, event frames, notifications etc.Monitoring of system health to detect and diagnose underperformance issues, troubleshoot PI data flow issues, respond to technical incidents raised via support tickets.Creation of system monitoring tags and notifications.Creation and validation of an Asset Framework model for the existing site data sources.Installation of required operating system and application updates and security patches.Patching of required automation controlled infrastructure in alignment with the IT site patching policy.Project Manage tasks that align with multiple departments for any changes to the PI system infrastructure as a result of connections to new data sources e.g. working with the IT change system to request firewall changes, service accounts etc.Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing solutions to improve overall enterprise security.Mentorship and training of less experienced team members.Skills / Requirements:Installation, configuration and monitoring of OSIsoft PI System servers, interfaces and user toolsExperience with OSIsoft PI system tag creation, tag monitoring and tag maintenance.PI Connectors OPC DA, OPCAE, PIBatch, Manual LoggerPI VisionPI Asset FrameworkPI Event Frames, Analytics and NotificationsPI DatalinkPower BIWorking knowledge of IT/OT networking, communication protocols, and server hardware/software configuration experienceGood working knowledge of IT security principlesAbility to self-learn new applications/technologiesExcellent analytical ability, consultative, and communication skillsStrong customer orientationPlease apply by sending your CVs to
