Job Description

Audit Assistant ManagerAre you a skilled accounting professional looking for an exciting opportunity in the world of audit and assurance Our esteemed client, a leading corporate services firm, is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to join their dynamic team in Cambridge.Our client’s Corporate team is known for its exceptional audit and assurance service, working with a diverse range of clients across various sectors throughout the UK. From SME to large listed group, offering you the exposure to an eclectic mix of organisations,including some AIM listed companies, technology firms, professional services providers, and not-for profit entities.The role: Audit Assistant Manager:As the Audit Assistant Manager, you will take charge of various essential tasks within audit, accounts preparation, and tax computations.Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Planning and leading audit engagements, taking up about 80% of your role.
  • Preparing accounts and drafting tax computations, about 20% of your role.
  • Collaborating with clients to resolves queries.
  • Reviewing the work of your team member, ensuring quality and accuracy before submission.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members, providing valuable feedback on their performance
  • Skilfully managing assignment time to adhere to pre-determined budgets effectively.
The ideal candidate:
  • A fully qualified accountant, ACA, ICAS, CA or ACCA
  • Proven experience in planning and leading external audits
  • In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP/FRS 102
  • Client facing experience
  • Proficient in audit software, particularly Caseware, and a strong grasp on Microsoft packages.
A very flexible hybrid policy is on offer, where you choose when and where you work- with the view of people on-site in the Cambridge office 1-2 days a week.
