If you are swift to action, confident to lead, willing to collaborate, and curious about what science can do, then you’re our kind of person.Our Global Portfolio and Project Management Organization (GPPM) has a meaningful role to play in advancing our pipeline and delivering Growth Through Innovation by closely partnering with Research & Development (R&D) and business leaders to support decision-making, prioritisation, project management, and governance across our combined Oncology and BioPharmaceuticals portfolio.Critical to the support of R&D and Governance leadership and decision making is having a clear, accurate, up-to-date understanding of the pipeline and upcoming events/changes.This position will be accountable for portfolio analytics with a particular focus on CVRM. Your New Role! This position will support the delivery of analytics, reports, and support for the pipeline strategy of the CVRM Portfolio. These results will help support achievement of our business objectives and support planning and decision-making by both project teams and TA Leadership Teams (TALT).In this role you will apply your analytical skills, and high level of proficiency with Excel, critical thinking, and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way. You will independently drive for results and bring ideas to action, track key metrics and find solutions to ‘hidden’ problems. Responsibilities

  • Strategic thinking- Working on various projects that require through analysis and finding straight-forward ways to communicate the findings.
  • Problem solving- Using structure and methodology to seek sophisticated solutions to problems or questions
  • Using Excel to track information, build visualizations and support decision making
  • Data sets- Building and maintaining dataset or models for analysis of portfolio, ensuring data quality
  • Collaboration- with Analytics team, GPPM Leadership team and Therapeutic Area Leadership teams to support business decisions.
  • Improving processes across the Analytics team. Feedback standard methodologies across the group and work to support improvement of our systems
  • Ensuring all reporting and analysis adheres to high quality and consistency standards.
  • Specific requirements to be successful! To succeed in this role you will have a proven track record of proactive problem solving skills and being able to present customers with well-constructed, useful solutions. In addition, you will have: Your essential skills:
  • Significant experience in a similar analytical role gained within a pharma/biotech or consulting, and/or strong academic record in courses requiring business analytics and research
  • Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience in drug development related areas, gained either directly, or through consulting projects
  • Experience in the CVRM therapeutic area
  • BS or BA degree qualification in Business, Finance, Market Research, Engineering, Decision Sciences, or similar and relevant subject
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Shown ability to work through sophisticated problems and use analytical ability to interpret and communicate them effectively
  • Advanced skills in Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Desirable
  • MBA degree
  • Knowledge of portfolio and project management systems, and the ability to use data sets to tackle problems within a Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Medical Device industry
