Job Description

COEL are a leading commercial office fit out company based in Cambridge. Thats what drives us to deliver this for everyonewe work with.To help deliver our growth plan, we now require an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to help manage the costs of our projects and ensure the projects are completed within the projected budget, project risk is minimised, and legal aspects of projects are managedcorrectly.Requirements

  • Sending enquiries and obtaining and reviewing quotes for construction work.
  • Preparing and issuing Subcontract documentation.
  • Monitoring and recording progress on our construction sites.
  • Measuring and take-offs of quantities to value construction work.
  • Reviewing and certifying Subcontractor applications for payments and processing their invoices via the accounts team.
  • Assisting with tracking and management of Change Control on projects including Main Contract pricing and Subcontractor change control.
  • Assisting with carrying out Main Contract valuations and applications for payment.
Skills Required
  • Minimum one year of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft office and the appetite and ability to learn new pieces of software.
  • A relevant degree an advantage but not essential.
    • If no relevant degree then having a plan / path to achieve qualifications in Quantity Surveying would be required.
  • Trainee or similar style memberships to the RICS or CIOB would be an advantage but not essential.
