Job Description

Assistant Management AccountantCambridge city centre£30,000-£35,000 per annumAn exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading Cambridge city centre based education provider, for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join the existing finance team, under the direction of the Finance Manager.This role will see the successful candidate taking on a number of management accounts related duties, as well as other more generic duties. Tasks to include:

  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts
  • Assist the Finance Bursar with forecasting
  • Assist in the preparation of the audit file at financial year end
  • To perform termly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Update the Fixed Asset Register
  • Oversight of daily bank reconciliations
  • Calculate monthly cash flow forecast for review with the Finance Manager
  • AP and AR query resolution
  • Assisting with budget duties
This client is looking for somebody keen and driven, and who is looking to grow in their career. You will ideally be studying for an accounting qualification and will have a solid understanding of accounting processes and procedures. Any management accountingexperience would be advantageous.Candidates should possess good IT skills and be proficient in the use of MS Excel at an intermediate level.
