We are delighted to be exclusively partnering with an early stage biotech business based in the heart of Cambridge, as they seek to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their team. Working alongside a fantastic Finance Manager, you will report intothe Financial Controller who is based overseas. This role is a newly created opportunity due to significant growth within the business, and with this role comes flexible and hybrid working arrangements.As the incoming Assistant Accountant, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:- Assisting with monthly management accounts, including accruals and prepayments- Leading on the general ledger accounts for the procurement arm of the business- Leading on the Accounts Payable function, and working closely with the R&D team to ensure accurate financial information- Supporting with overseas accounts process- Additional tasks and projects as required by both the Finance Manager and Financial ControllerAs the successful candidate and the new Assistant Accountant, it is paramount that you have strong transactional finance knowledge and good knowledge of month end processes. You will ideally be AAT qualified, ACCA/CIMA part qualified or possess relevant equivalentexperience.
