Job Description

Application Support Analyst - Python Scripting experience - £55k - £65k pa - Hybrid working - 1 day a week in the officeOur international client is looking for an experienced Application Support Analyst to join their expanding Data team based in Cambridge.You will be responsible for:

  • Updating knowledge base documentation enabling you and your team to support new and updated bespoke cloud-based services and digital products
  • Communicating clearly with customer-facing and software development teams to ensure issues are understood clearly and resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Investigating issues raised to you by interrogating logs, data sources and APIs escalating them to correct teams as required.
  • Basic development of operational scripts and applications to automate processes where appropriate.
  • Monitoring and supporting data uploads from telemetry devices to AWS
It is expected that you will have at least 3 years recent experience working as anApplication Support Analyst within a dynamic environment. you will also have the following experience -
  • A proven ability to apply service operations principles to complex bespoke software.
  • Python Scripting
  • Experience of working with modern cloud services, e.g. AWS.
  • Experience with analysing application logs through tools such as SumoLogic, CloudWatch, Sentry.
  • Experience using tools like SQL and web requests to explore data sources for the purpose of issue identification.
Any experience of ITIL, MS Power BI, Tableau, Agile, Jira would be useful but not essential.The role is a hybrid role of 1 day in the office and 4 from home.Due to the volume of applications we can only respond to candidates matching the above criteria.
