Job Description

Application Engineer - High-Frequency Electromagnetics / Optics Cambridgeshire £Competitive + benefits package Overview We are seeking a customer-centric Application Engineer that specialises in Electromagnetics or Optics to provide outstanding customer support Pre and Post-Sale for a Cambridgeshire based organisation that have recently set out very impressive growth plans after years of success. This is an established company that is hiring an Application Engineer that will join a team of experts that provide technical support to customers via demos, over the phone and very occasionally visit their customers on site (UK, Europe and US).Key Skills Required:

  • Degree educated in Physics, Engineering or Mathematics with expertise in Electromagnetics / Photonics / Optical Engineering
  • Experience of providing technical support and expertise to customers
  • Pre-Sales product assistance
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Experience of representing customer feedback to software development team
  • Excellent communicator -face to face, conference calls and telephone calls
  • Sharing best practice when using technical features
  • Ability to create customer User Guides
  • Experience of training the sales team on products
  • Test features in order to troubleshoot and report on product performance
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is essential
