DBS is essentialTo promote and progress the Councils response to dealing with Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) in the City.1.2In accordance with the Councils policy and procedures, to be the lead officer in resolving individual cases of ASB1.3To respond to enquiries and reported complaints of ASB and serious neighbour nuisance and co-ordinate any investigations of the same.1.4To action agreed solutions working in partnership with key agencies, including progressing and taking appropriate enforcement action against perpetrators where appropriate.1.5To advise customers on the Council’s policies and procedures in relation to ASB.To ensure that the Senior Community Safety Officer is kept regularly appraised of all the ASB cases allocated to you as lead officer.2.2To ensure that reported cases of ASB are followed up in consultation with key agencies and that progress is reported to the Streetlife Working Group and/or PSG.2.3To conduct interviews with members of the public in their homes or in other locations. These will be done in liaison with the Police, City Homes and City RSLs and/or other key agencies as part of the evidence gathering process.2.4To prepare and maintain detailed records and case files for use in legal proceedings or other action.2.5To liaise with the Councils lawyers on cases and agree and expedite any actions.2.6To ensure that the terms of the ASB County Protocol and Information Sharing Protocol are met.2.7To make requests to agencies over the disclosure of information in preparation for legal proceedings, such disclosures to be made in accordance with the County Information Sharing Protocol.2.8To prepare witness statements for use in legal proceedings.2.9To prepare prosecution files and, where necessary, to present cases in Court and/or give evidence in Court.2.10To support the Councils Lawyers in Court2.11To ensure that any witnesses attending Court are provided with the necessary advice and support.
