Job Description

Accounting Lead (Reporting) - Pharma - Cambridge - £379p/d (Inside of IR35)One of the UK’s leading pharmaceutical clients (FTSE100) now requires an Accounting Lead to play a key role in continuing their transformation journey for their Group Financial Reporting Function.The Accounting Lead will provide technical accounting advice and support to other global entities within the business and contribute towards their accounting training program for their wider staff.The Accounting Lead will have the following responsibilities:

  • Plays a lead role in the group Annual Report process providing co-ordination with auditors and the rest of the GFR team ensuring the auditors and other internal/external review points on the GFR-owned sections of the Annual Report are appropriately addressed.
  • Oversee the co-ordination of individual Accounting Issue Notes
  • Managing partnerships between a specialist area of Finance, SET areas, and/or external providers
  • Managing key finance and business relationships and providing finance reporting and analysis
  • Liaise with external parties on behalf of the business.
  • Execute application of expertise in specialist areas to deliver day-to-day operational requirements of the function.
The Finance Manager has the following skills/experience:
  • Fully ACA/ACCA Qualified
  • Extensive experience with IFRS reporting
  • Strong background working within large multi-national companies, ideally within Pharma / Life Sciences (Optional)
  • Strong Analytical and Numerical Skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
  • In-house and practice experience is equally suitable.
